Beijing Architecture through the lens of Ekaterina Busygina

For the upcoming summer/ fall, we will be planning our next vacation in Beijing or somewhere in China. I think it will be a great introductory to how's life in China and obviously to explore the magnificent neons spots! :) For the occasion, we are featuring the work of Ekaterina and her series titled: 'Beijing'. We have featured the work before by Ekaterina Busygina on Abduzeedo, it's always great seeing her progress and experiments.

Introducing Urbano Lightroom Preset

Urbano is a new Lightroom preset created from the desire to bring to life some of the photos that look dull or poorly lit. Living in big cities we are surrounded by concrete and oftentimes a monotonous blend of colors be it concrete, asphalt, metal, and glass. On top of that, at least in my case, I tend to always be at the right place at the wrong time. That means the lighting is never ideal for the look I am trying to capture.

Free Copyright Free Photos Friday :)

One of my goals for 2020 is to get back to photography and simply have fun with it. Perhaps get a bit better, but the main goal is to have fun capturing the surroundings. I will also be posting most of them on Unsplash so everyone can get them for free. I will also, shameless, post them here on Abduzeedo, which it is nothing more than a personal blog. I hope you enjoy them and if you want to have your photos featured email us at abduzeedo@abduzeedo.com

Lomography x Elen Winata Illustration Collab

I really do enjoy when brands work on a collaborative partnership that triggers creativity and also finding ways to make us work with our hands more. Since almost everything can be achieved digitally, it's great to be reminded of basic principles. That's why I thought it would be great to share the work of Elen Winata and her collaboration with Lomography. Together, they worked to visualize the Lomo 'Instant', let's take a look!

Apple Aficionados hand-picked from Unsplash

Apple! Products that we love and sometimes love to hate. Personally, I am a huge Apple fanboy, I have used their products for such a long time. I always admired their care for design and how we can become easily obsessed by them. Following this argumentation, our friends from Unsplash launched today their new logo. We are happy for them and it's crazy how their product/platform just keep growing and expanding.

Alone in the Night Photography Series

We are featuring his Alone in the Night Photography Series where it's a series of photos taken at night. I do agree with Axel that there is indeed something special about exploring places at night.

Exploring Istanbul at Night - Mirror World

Elsa Bleda is a photographer and visual artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa. She has been taking photographs of Istanbul, Johannesburg and more; she has a distinct style that would immediately make you remind of Blade Runner. When you think of this movie, you would think about scenes from cities from Tokyo, Hong Kong and etc. But it's much more than that when you think of it, the same inspiration can also be taken from any cities around the world.

Wandering the fiery mountains of sand dunes in the Namib Desert

We are thrilled to share the work of award-winning photographer Tom Hegen and his series about the 'Sand Dune' of the Namib desert, Africa. These photographs are stunning, fiery, and breathtaking. I would like to point out that these pictures are NOT taken from a drone, Tom mentioned and I quote: 'Photos were taken from a helicopter in Namibia.' which makes the series even more compelling. Tom is a true master at his craft, some of the photographs look totally unreal similar to CGI.

In pursuit of silhouettes, lights, shadows with Mustafa Hacalaki - Photography

I am delighted to share the photographs of a fellow Montrealer here on ABDZ, his name is Mustafa Hacalaki. We are following his pursuit of trailing silhouettes of strangers through light, shadows, and reflections. His photographs tells a story within an image and the result is pure street photography at its best. I just love how Mustafa presents a shot as if it was from a movie scene where the shadow is married to the final scene.

Discover Switzerland: Hand-picked from Unsplash

Bonjour la Suisse! To me, Switzerland is the country origin of the famous "triangular-shaped" chocolate brand Toblerone and the Swiss Alps. Fortunately, this country offers much more and how about a country bordered by Italy to the south, France to the west, Germany to the north, and Austria and Liechtenstein to the east. That's amazing right?
